SOMEBODY WHO
HAS DONE IT BEFORE.

Being built

The single largest advantage in wholesale is knowing somebody who has already made the mistake you are about to make. That advantage is distributed by network rather than by merit, which is exactly the barrier this protocol exists to lower.

The knowledge is not written down anywhere

What a fair commission is, which retailer is difficult to collect from, whether a factory is reliable. None of it appears in a guide and all of it is common knowledge to people already inside.

Mentorship is work, and should count

An experienced operator answering questions is adding real value and normally receives nothing for it. Contribution is measured from the event log, and there is no reason help given should count for less than an order written.

Matching is the hard part

A useful mentor is close enough to the same problem to be relevant and far enough ahead to be useful, and usually not a direct competitor. That is a harder match than it looks and doing it badly wastes two people's time.

Status

Designed, not built. The contribution log that would recognise it exists; the matching and the programme do not.
