What a fair commission is, which retailer is difficult to collect from, whether a factory is reliable. None of it appears in a guide and all of it is common knowledge to people already inside.

An experienced participant answering questions is adding real value and normally receives nothing for it. Contribution is measured from the event log, and there is no reason help given should count for less than an order written.

A useful mentor is close enough to the same problem to be relevant and far enough ahead to be useful, and usually not a direct competitor. That is a harder match than it looks and doing it badly wastes two people's time.

Live. A participant who has earned it (gold tier or ten delivered trades) offers to mentor; a newer participant is shown the mentors who offered, ranked with the reasons; asks one by name; the mentor accepts or declines; either side ends it, and every step is on a record both read — on the MENTORS screen.
