THE PEOPLE
WHO WERE HERE.

Being built

Operators move on — a brand is sold, a rep retires, a business closes. What they contributed does not stop being true, and a system that erases somebody the moment they stop transacting is a system that treats people as accounts.

Contribution does not expire

The append-only log means a history cannot be quietly removed. Somebody who added value for a decade added it, whether or not they are currently active, and the record should say so.

The experience is the asset

People who have done the work are exactly the people worth asking, and they are usually the least reachable — precisely because most systems stop showing anyone who stopped paying.

Leaving well should be normal

Businesses end. Making that a graceful state rather than a deletion is the difference between a protocol and a subscription.

Status

Designed, not built. The record persists by construction; a distinct alumni state and anything built on it does not exist.
