BEFORE THEY MOVE.

A pre-shipment inspection costs a small fraction of the freight. Rejecting or reworking at origin costs the inspection; discovering the same fault after arrival costs the goods, the freight, the duty and the customer.

Different checks answer different questions, and skipping the middle one is the common and expensive mistake.

An inspector cannot assess "good quality". They check against measurements, tolerances and an acceptable defect level that somebody wrote down — which means the tech pack is what makes inspection possible at all.

Partly live. There is no separate inspector role: a merchandiser or supplier submits their inspector license — number, issuing body, expiry and the document — and once an admin confirms it, brands find them on their Inspectors tab and ask them to inspect a lot. The request sits as a pending check in the brand's quality-control log until the inspector records pass or fail, with units inspected, units rejected and findings. A license stops counting the day after it expires. Not built yet: checking each result line by line against a written specification.
