Buying a label means talking to carriers, and talking to many carriers means an aggregator. This page describes what such an integration would do on this protocol and states plainly that it is not connected — because a page implying you can buy a label here would be a page that wastes somebody's afternoon.
One interface to many carriers: comparable rates across them, label purchase, address validation and tracking updates without a separate contract and integration per carrier.
Rates depend on the account the labels are bought under. Using a platform's account means the platform holds the carrier relationship and the negotiated pricing; using the operator's means each operator connects their own. That is a decision about who owns the relationship, and it should be made deliberately rather than by whichever is easier to build.
A meaningful share of failed deliveries are address problems that were visible at the point of entry. Validating before a label is bought is the cheapest failure prevention in logistics.
